AI at the garage, without a line that binds the shop

Save time on quotes, invoices and customer replies, yes, but never at the price of a sentence promising what the workshop does not owe.

Your reality

Mechanics, bodywork, used-car sales: every vehicle that comes in produces writing that binds, a quote, a repair order, a warranty decision, a reply to a dispute. Unframed AI slips in one promise too many or an invented technical detail, under the workshop’s signature.

Your staff already use it, at the counter and in the office. The point is not to ban it, but to fix what it drafts and what never enters the tool: no customer file, no vehicle data.

What this costs you
  • Hours lost to quotes, workshop invoices, service reminders and customer replies
  • An improvised reply to a dispute or a negative review, worsening the case instead of closing it
  • A used-car listing that promises more than the vehicle’s real condition, under your responsibility
  • Customer and vehicle data pasted into public AI, beyond your control
The Palambur Method in action

See for yourself

A prompt structured in 5 blocks: Instruction · Role and audience · Data · Constraints · Format. An unframed AI invents; the frame stops it.

In a workshop session, we adapt these prompts to your garage, each with its safeguards: no customer name, no plate, no chassis number ever enters a public AI.

Prompt Chaptal

Devis et dépassement · l’accord écrit avant de continuer

The customer’s written agreement obtained before work continues, instead of a tense discussion when the keys are handed back.

Prompt Chaptal

Le client revient six mois plus tard · quelle garantie s’applique

A measured reply that separates what the warranty covers from what is wear and tear, before the tone rises.

Prompt Chaptal

Avis en ligne · répondre au négatif sans aggraver le dossier

A public reply that defends the workshop’s work without admitting anything or promising lightly.

30 use cases cover your line of work in the Chaptal catalog, out of 750 in the corpus · each one states what it produces, what it expects from you, and what it refuses to do.

Foire aux questions

Can I let AI reply to a negative review?

It prepares a factual, measured reply that you review before posting. The framed prompt forbids admitting fault or promising a commercial gesture you have not decided; posting remains your act.

Can AI price a quote for me?

No. Pricing rests on your times, your parts and your rates. It structures the document, the range and the reservations that go with it, so the customer knows what is included and what is not.

What happens to my customers’ and their vehicles’ data?

Pasted into consumer AI without a data processing agreement, it leaves your control; the nLPD still holds you responsible. The rule is simple: anonymize first, or keep it out.

Does AI know Swiss warranty law?

It helps structure the reply and line up the file’s documents, but left alone, it invents. The catalog prompts require relying on your own records; what Swiss law says is checked against official sources.

Do I need a large garage for this to be worth it?

No. The workshop where the owner also runs the office benefits first, because every document gets written in the evening, after closing. The catalog prompts work as they are, with no technical setup.
